There are many ways you can get involved with the Calderdale Badger Protection Group.
Sadly, badgers still face direct persecution in many forms, and also suffer as a result of changes to their environment, especially through building and development. One of our aims is to locate and map all the setts in our area, so they can be monitored and protected.
There are several ways in which you could help. If you know of any setts near your property and are happy to provide details, please email firstname.lastname@example.org We are also interested in hearing about any badger sightings, badger activity, any road traffic accidents or about proposed development that may threaten spaces where badgers live. Please be assured that we treat information regarding our local badgers as very sensitive: it will not be shared outside our group.
You can actively support our campaigns through becoming a member, help us on stalls in Calderdale and join our meetings and training days. If you’d like to get even more hands on you can help us in the field on one of our badger sett monitoring and discovery days. Here you can learn how to find badgers and how to monitor badger setts in your local area.
